LiveJournal Background

LiveJournal∞ is a blog hosting site. Registered users have access to a personal blog and may also join community blogs. A major feature of LiveJournal is the "friends page", a web page showing most recent posts of other LiveJournal members/communities who the user has listed as a "friend".

LiveJournal currently has about 6 million members, with approximately 2.5 million of those considered to be 'active' users.
