My personal site is running a system called Textpattern∞ and its official v1.0 release has been delayed for almost two weeks now. I hope that the v1.0 release includes working trackback support... it has a feature called "mention" which is close to trackback, but it's not working in v1.0rc1. (Jan 24, 2005 6:00pm)

My chosen community for this class is the virtual world of an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game), World of Warcraft, by the Blizzard Entertainment. I haven't been able to play it yet, though. Blizzard has been suffering from game server outages, so they are controlling the number of game users by limiting their supply of game client packages on the market. As a result, the game has been out of stock in retailers such as EBgames, Gamestop, BestBuy, etc. for weeks. I placed an order on the Blizzard Web site last Thursday night, shortly before it went out of stock there as well, and received a shipping confirmation email on Sunday. Hopefully I will be able to start playing it sometime this week. (Tuesday, January 18, 2005)
