Notes
1. I have developed a website prototype that counts the contributions of a specific contributor ACROSS open source communities. This prototype uses some of the code in CVSAnaly, which counts the contributors WITHIN an open source community. It takes a few days for the calculation for a typical community. I managed to calculate the statistics for two communities as of now.
2. I assume that the login names used across communities are the same in order to do the calculation, which is of course not true all the time. It calls for some standardization of login names across communities to fully implement this idea.
3. Also, right now the names of contributors are generically listed as numbers. I can, however, list them as their real login names. But then I won't be able to demonstrate my calculation to you because the probability that the same contributors work on both of the TWO projects above are very small. So if I only use numbers for now, both projects will have user 1, user 2, and so on.
